Can the EOS R and RP shoot a bracket of 5 or 7 exposures with a difference r/forexposure 1 EV each? On the R, r/forexposure, set the number of bracketed shots to 7 with 1 EV separation, r/forexposure, trigger the exposure with the 2 second timer and r/forexposure R will click off all 7 r/forexposure. Sorry for bumping this old thread, but how does this work with long exposures and dark frames to remove noise?
Assuming that you are taking about astrophotography, it doesn't. You have to use an external intervalometer on the R, r/forexposure. No, I'm not. In the past, r/forexposure, I recalled Canon DSLRS did long exposure NR. You're saying it doesn't in bracket mode? Not that I'm aware of.
The R does LENR. I don't know if it can be used with exposure bracketing. I may be mistaken but if you shoot JPG and you have NR setting turned on it shouldn't matter if you pressed the shutter for one frame or have AEB shooting a series, r/forexposure.
If you are shooting RAW it won't ever do NR reduction because RAW is recorded as what the sensor sees with no corrections. That will need to be done in post. Personally if you were doing AEB for HDR in post, I would only shoot raw and correct for any adjustments needed r/forexposure the HDR r/forexposure done and before exported to JPG, r/forexposure.
If you're just r/forexposure to make sure you get one well exposed image, I would still r/forexposure RAW because JPG you're r/forexposure limited on what adjustments you can do in post, r/forexposure. I personally only shoot JPG with controlled lighting studio lights in a production setting like at a graduation where you shoot a posed graduate after receiving their diploma.
R/forexposure are setup, they stand on an X on the floor and you have about 15 seconds till the next graduate comes up. I've also done all day shoots with kids sports where they stand with the soccer ball or whatever. they are standing on a talcum powder X in the grass. Again, r/forexposure, very controlled light but you have to chase the ambient sometimes as clouds go by or as the day gets later. I'm rambling but just sharing what I do. I only shoot in RAW and it's for HDR.
Are you sure it r/forexposure do any sort of long exposure NR? R/forexposure pretty sure R/forexposure and Panasonic cameras do that even with RAW, r/forexposure. Sony r/forexposure do NR with long exposures in bracket mode so there's visible noise that's probably hard to remove in post! Shooting with long exposure noise reduction is just a single press of the shutter button, r/forexposure, and it works with EC, r/forexposure, so I don't see why it wouldn't also work with exposure bracketing.
But can't you just try it and see what happens? That's what I'd have to do! Steve, I don't have an EOS R. I'm debating which camera to buy and I want to ask the right questions before I r/forexposure it. It would be great if you can test this for me, r/forexposure.
Well I can't swear by that but my understanding is RAW does not apply any correction. Picture styles and other in camera adjustments are only good for JPG shooters.
I've now checked - yes it does work on the R5. I can't think of any possible reason why it wouldn't also work on the R r/forexposure RP.
